All Saints is a highly successful, oversubscribed, 11-18 Catholic Voluntary Academy, within the St Clare CMAT. There are 1388 students on roll, including 351 in the sixth form. The last OFSTED inspection in April 2018 judged the school to be Good. The school is co-located with an Outstanding maintained special school.
The school wishes to appoint a talented Director of Science to lead this key area of the curriculum, further developing high quality teaching and learning that inspires students from Y7 to Y13.
The successful candidate should be able to drive curriculum development, from a clear vision, through collaborative planning, to high outcomes and positive engagement. Experience in working on relevant projects, leading staff, mentoring, quality assurance and CPD should position a candidate to lead this large department in the next phase of its growth.
Applicants should be excellent classroom practitioners who explore innovative ways of delivering their subject. They should be able to teach Science across the age and ability range. All staff teach at Post 16 in their specialism; Applied Science is also offered for Y12 to Y13 students.
